RALEIGH – In this beautiful short film, Debra Rezeli, Higher Ed Works’ Engagement Director, and her husband Jeff hike, paddle and bike the 1,175-mile Mountains-to-Sea Trail across North Carolina.

“Hiking the trail makes me feel part of nature – it gives me more purpose,” Debra says.

They emphasize how the trail leads through North Carolina’s many welcoming small towns – and how it’s broken into 18 segments.

“You don’t have to do it all at once,” Debra says.

“There are moments on the trail that you want to last forever. But you move on to the next one, and the next one. And they all string together to form an almost 1,200-mile path across North Carolina.”
